Explore our Lines collection — a refined gallery of linear patterns, striations, and geometric compositions found within natural mineral specimens. Through advanced macro and micro photography, we capture the precise, elegant lines that crystals create as they grow, fracture, and interact with geological forces over millions of years. As a result, these images reveal structures normally invisible to the naked eye. Therefore, if you're looking for minimalist crystal wall art with clean geometry, this collection offers nature's purest linear designs.
From the parallel banding of agate and onyx to the sharp cleavage lines of calcite, the growth striations on crystal faces, and the delicate fibrous textures of silky minerals — every image reveals the linear beauty that geology inscribes into stone. In fact, we find these patterns endlessly fascinating. For us, they are nature's drawings, rendered visible by science and presented as limited edition fine art prints.
Capturing fine linear details requires exceptional optical resolution and absolute stability. For this reason, our studio pairs the 61-megapixel Sony A7R IV with Mitutoyo HR infinity-corrected objectives and Laowa macro lenses. In addition, we mount the entire system on a vibration-isolated Nexus Board stability platform. Through experience we have learned that even the smallest vibration — from a passing car outside — can blur the finest striations. Therefore, we often photograph our most detailed line images late at night, when ambient vibration is at its lowest.
Each artwork in our Lines collection is printed on museum-grade archival paper using long-lasting pigment inks. As a result, the finest linear details remain preserved with exceptional fidelity. Every limited-edition print (maximum 3 pieces worldwide, plus one special edition: a framed photograph paired with the original mineral specimen) carries our KK jeweler-grade micro metal authenticity stamp.
Q: What causes the linear patterns you photograph in minerals?
A: Linear patterns in minerals form through several geological processes. For example, crystal growth striations appear as the crystal face advances layer by layer. Meanwhile, parallel banding in agates forms through rhythmic silica deposition. Cleavage lines follow the atomic structure of the crystal lattice, and fibrous textures appear when minerals grow in elongated needle-like crystals. Therefore, each type of line tells a different geological story.
Q: Why do you photograph at night?
A: At extreme magnifications, even the smallest vibration — from traffic, building HVAC, or footsteps — can blur fine linear details. For this reason, we mount our equipment on a Nexus Board stability platform. However, for the most demanding images we photograph late at night, when ambient vibration is at its lowest. As a result, we achieve the highest level of detail in our mineral line photography.
Q: Are your mineral line art prints suitable for minimalist interior design?
A: Our Lines collection is one of our most popular choices for minimalist and contemporary spaces. In fact, the clean and precise geometry of natural mineral lines creates a sophisticated focal point in modern interiors. Printed on museum-grade archival paper, each piece maintains its crispness and detail for over 100 years.
Q: Do you ship internationally?
A: Yes, we ship our limited edition prints and mineral specimens worldwide. In addition, we carefully package each piece in custom protection to ensure it arrives in perfect condition. Contact us for specific shipping details for your location.
